structure-property relationships, and the processes used to
manufacture engineering components. Dr. Punit Kumar teaches
the manufacturing portion of the course, including casting,
forming, machining, joining, polymer processing, process
selection, and emerging trends in manufacturing.

Energy Technologies for Sustainability
Examines major technologies for sustainable energy generation,
conversion, storage, and use, together with their engineering
and environmental implications. Dr. Punit Kumar teaches the
nuclear energy/materials portion of the course, covering the
role of materials in nuclear systems, their performance under
demanding service conditions, and key considerations relevant
to safe and sustainable nuclear-energy technologies.
